In the middle of the 20th century, the brand took a step from a prestigious complication to a practical function and introduced the Memovox watch with a signal.
Jaeger-LeCoultre masters can be considered real pros in working with sound: the first minute repeater was born in the company's workshops in 1870 and in the next 30 years, Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers created more than 200 calibers with a hammer mechanism. They used the principle of the minute repeater, but the hammer hit the gong with greater frequency.
2020 has been a time of new achievements: the manufacture supplemented Memovox with a timer. Now the owner of the model can set the period after which the signal will go. To display the remaining time, use the arrow with the red JL logo and a special ring in the center of the dial. The original function of the alarm clock remained unchanged - the sound signal can be set for a certain hour.
Another feature of Master Control Memovox Timer is a transparent back cover, through which you can see the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 956 rose gold mechanism decorated with the “Geneva waves” pattern. Before that, the back covers of Memovox watches were solid: a gong of the sound module was attached to them. Now it is attached to the side of the stainless steel case. The release of new items demonstrating achievements in delivering clear sound with practical use is limited to 250 copies. Additionally, the watches can be bought exclusively in company boutiques.
