The iconic model is now being released without a date aperture.

At the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Omega employed a tried and tested marketing ploy with brand ambassador Daniel Craig. This wasn't the actor's first public appearance sporting a mysterious new model, caught by the eagle-eyed paparazzi on camera.

In November 2023, Craig modeled another pre-launch Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch with a white dial. At the Olympic Games in the French capital, the actor appeared in front of cameras wearing a watch known only as the new no-date Seamaster 300M.

Omega finally let the cat out of the bag and introduced the mysterious model from the Olympics at the end of November, plus another novelty. And seeing as this duo come equipped with both rubber straps and mesh bracelets, fans of the brand are essentially being offered four novelties in one go.

It was no random choice to entrust Daniel Craig with the new Seamaster Diver 300M, who will probably never be able to distance himself from his biggest role in the public's eyes — James Bond. Not even this year's Venice Film Festival premiere of Queer would be capable of that.

The collection which first appeared in 1993 used the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition as the basis for the update, which the British secret agent wore in No Time to Die. Unlike Bond's Seamaster Diver 300M, the updated watch has done away with date aperture normally found at 6 o'clock.

The waves on the dial have disappeared on one version, but it preserves another of the collection's classic traits: openworked hands. The winding crown can still be found at 3 o'clock, and 10 o'clock is where the helium escape valve is located.

The novelty is offered in two steel versions: one with a black aluminum bezel and dial, and another with a titanium bezel around a brushed steel PVD-coated dial.

The case measures 42 mm in diameter × 49.7 mm (lug-to-lug) × 13.8 mm (thickness). The transparent caseback reveals a view of the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806 movement with a 55-hour power reserve.
