Chronomètre Artisans Rose Gold: 50 pieces already sold out.

Since young watchmaker Simon Brette introduced his first model in 2023, he has been described as the Frenchman who rocked the Swiss watch world, and a new star on the indie watch scene. The future looks bright for Brette thanks to the recognition he has received from colleagues.

His fresh Chronomètre Artisans model immediately won the Horological Revelation Prize at the 2023 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève and collectors (all of his models are instant sellouts). The watchmaker promises to launch watches every year with new colors, case materials, dials and engraving. And he has a new complication in the pipeline for 2027.

Brette kept his word, and ended the year 2024 with a fresh version of his Chronomètre Artisans. It follows a couple of earlier editions. Now the twelve-piece Subscription edition debut and the Titanium edition of less than 99 pieces have been joined by the 50-piece Chronomètre Artisans Rose Gold edition.

It's a fresh yet very classical combination: the novelty's rose-gold case measuring 39 mm × 10.5 mm frames a black DLC-coated dial. The dial itself is also made of rose gold and decorated with a new pattern. As promised, Brette changes the dial's design on each new watch.

The "Dragon Scales" mosaic dial and "Tiger Claws" decoration have been replaced by a hand-engraved "Battle" pattern. This pattern was created by engraver artist Yasmina Anti, who also worked on the previous editions. It inherited the character of the dragon and tiger watches but also has its own stand-out personality.

The signature dovetail symbol appears on the caseband of the polished white-gold case that houses the SBCA movement. It's equipped with a large balance with variable inertia adjustable weights and a hairspring with a Breguet terminal curve.

The movement with two parallel barrels that guarantee a 72-hour power reserve has been given a gold plate with a matte finish (the bridges were black on the previous versions). The SBCA balance runs at a frequency of 18,000 vph.
