The Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon sports the company's new hue of Electric Blue
In 2019, the company H. Moser & Cie unveiled the Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon to the general public. As its name suggests, the model combines two popular watch complications: a tourbillon and a minute repeater. Both are positioned off-centre on the watch's bold black dial in keeping with the traditionally understated spirit of minimalism.
There's the two central hands, the tourbillon at 6 o'clock, and the gongs of the acoustic complication placed on the periphery. There’s no added indexes or bursts of color. The name of the brand isn’t even on the dial — a distinctive feature of the Concept line. H. Moser & Cie decided to start this year with the same model from last year.
The only difference is that it’s been re-energized with the company's brand-new energetic shade of Electric Blue. Before the new colour was introduced, the designers had Funky Blue in their repertoire, which you can see on versions of the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar, the Heritage Centre Seconds or on the dial of the Streamliner chronograph.
The change of color isn't the only thing that's different about the Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon model for 2021. The white gold used as the case material two years ago has been replaced by titanium. It must be said that this case material looks beautiful thanks to the contrast between the brushed surface on the side and the minute repeater’s polished hammers and gongs along with the polished bezel. The case size has remained the same: 43 mm in diameter and 14 mm thick.
Inside is the same hand-wound HMC 903 caliber with a 90-hour power reserve. In 2019, H. Moser & Cie reported that the movement was developed in partnership with MHC Manufactures Hautes Complications SA — a firm that specializes in minute repeaters.
Timeless SA has been named as the partner whose expertise was enlisted to work on the caliber — another Swiss company that has made a name for itself in Grandes Complications. The limit for the 2021 novelty has been set at 20 pieces, which is twice as many as there were in the last series in white gold.
