Audemars Piguet has marked midsummer by launching three new Royal Oak Offshore models.
The watches don't have that many shared features apart from the collection's generic appearance — each of these three models has its own distinct style. The steel Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph which measures 43 mm in diameter will suit fans of seriously sizable watches.
A steel bezel and black inner flange calibrated with a tachymeter scale encircle a smoked-bronze Méga Tapisserie dial punctuated by black counters at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock.
The three-tone palette is limited to a combination of steel, the tobacco tone on the dial and alligator-skin strap, and black (black ceramic for the large winding crown and chronograph pushers, black-coated counters, hands, and white-gold hour markers).
The watch houses the automatic Caliber 4401 with a 70-hour power reserve. This is an integrated chronograph movement with a vertical clutch combined with a jumping hour and flyback-chronograph function.
Another large member of the trio is the three-hand Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding in a 43-mm case with a blue rubber-coated bezel. Caliber 4302 is the engine powering the watch, which runs at a frequency of 4 Hz and has a 70-hour power reserve.
Last but not least, the trio is rounded out by a 37-mm model in pink gold. The warm tone of this metal is balanced out by an ivory-tone dial patterned with little Grande Tapisserie pyramids.
The watchmaker has decided to pair the dial's complex tone with a gray rubber-coated bezel — hidden luxury reserved for those in the know. Finally, the case is secured on a black rubber strap with a mosaic effect.
The smallest novelty is equipped with Caliber 5900, which debuted in 2022. This movement measuring just 3.9 mm in height runs at a frequency of 4 Hz and ensures a 60-hour power reserve.
