The manufacture is introducing two novelties with colored dials.
Meet Chronomaster Original Pink with a pink dial and Сhronomaster Open with a blue one. The arrival of the pink edition is perfectly timed with October just around the corner, which has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Zenith is participating in yet another campaign to support those affected by breast cancer. Zenith has supported the charity Pink Ribbon Switzerland for the past number of years, creating special models to be sold at their charity auctions. Now the company has launched a watch in support of an American charity called Susan G. Komen for the year 2022.
The sale of the Chronomaster Original Pink watch with its essential pink details will see 20% of proceeds donated to the charity, which happens to be the world's largest non-profit source of breast cancer research funding. The organization was founded by Nancy G. Brinker in 1982 — two years after her sister, Susan G. Komen, died from the disease.
The watch is a typical member of the Chronomaster Original series with its recognizable scale encircling the dial, a timekeeping accuracy of up to a tenth of a second, and three counters. The special edition Chronomaster Original Pink has one defining feature — the color pink, both on its metal dial and the counters.
The novelty is similar to the recent Chronomaster Original E-commerce Edition and Hodinkee Edition versions in that it remains true to the historical case, measuring 38 mm in diameter in stainless steel with pump-style chronograph pushers.
Encased inside is the very same El Primero 3600 with a 60-hour power reserve. The Chronomaster Open Boutique Edition has a more diverse variety of colors in its palette. The model is a blue dial version with a window revealing a glimpse of the movement under a transparent counter at 9 o'clock.
This isn't the only thing that sets it apart from the previous Chronomaster Open. It has also moved closer to the historical case measurement: from 42 mm in diameter to 39.5 mm.
The steel Chronomaster Open Boutique Edition offers a view of the components in its automatic El Primero 3604 movement — a modified version of caliber 3600 which debuted in the Chronomaster Sport.
The movement's openworked plate and bridges open up the escapement with a balance running at a frequency of 5 Hz and a silicon escape wheel and pallet lever.
