Klepcys DICE: now in carbon.
Cyrus presented a system of two independent chronograph movements in one case last year. They named the model Klepcys DICE — an acronym that describes the essence of the complication: Double Independent Chronograph Evolution.
The brand isn't the only watchmaker to experiment in this area. According to archival records, the watchmaker Arnold Frankfeld was granted a patent in New York way back in 1873 for his "Double-Stop Movements".
However, even on today's market where buyers are spoiled for choice with an extremely wide variety of complications, nothing like it was seen again until the year 2021.
The individual behind the double chronograph is Technical Director at Cyrus Jean-François Mojon, who also happens to be the creator of other famous masterpieces, including movements for the following pieces: Czapek Quai des Bergues, Hermès Arceau L'heure de la lune, HYT H1 and Harry Winston Opus X.

The Chronode founder has a special relationship with Cyrus. Cyrus is a young company created in 2010. In search of homegrown ingenuity, Cyrus Group became a shareholder of Chronode.
As Mojon puts it, Chronode and Cyrus share the same financial partner while still remaining independent. Cyrus is presenting a new edition of its model this year called Klepcys DICE Racing, where carbon is used for the first time.
Two versions of the watch are being offered, each limited to 15 pieces. The bezel with a unique pattern created by carbon fibers is complemented by a titanium cushion-shaped case with and without a black DLC coating.
The watchmakers have maintained the same working principle in their approach using colored highlights. Two symmetrical crowns at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock have pushers for setting the chronograph functions.
You can tell which hand will be activated by the crown's color-coordinated anodized aluminum ring in blue and red, which correspond to the two central seconds hands and hands on the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock.
Details of the openworked movement are also highlighted in the signature tones. The case measuring 42 × 16.5 mm houses an engine comprising 443 parts, 218 of which keep the double chronograph running.
Self-winding caliber CYR718 movement ensures a 60-hour power reserve. The movement can be viewed on the caseback side, which offers a view of the gold helix integrated into the rotor. Cyrus has also used this symbol for the running seconds at 9 o'clock.
