Two limited editions for the sci-fi movie saga's most loyal fans.
Not every watch manufacturer can boast appearances on the big screen. Hamilton has established itself as “the movie brand” with a whole range of movie watches. It features over 30 models that appear in the latest blockbusters. And that's only their current line!
The range of films and watch styles is huge: from the American Classic Intra-Matic Chronograph H, which Martin Freeman wore when he played Everett K. Ross in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the Khaki Field featured in Sonic the Hedgehog, the American Classic Boulton from the latest Indiana Jones, the Khaki Field Murph Auto from Interstellar to the Khaki Navy BeLOWZERO Auto Titanium from Tenet.
The line welcomes two new limited editions this year which are inspired by watches developed with Prop Master Doug Harlocker for the film Dune: Part Two.
The watch from the new movie directed by Denis Villeneuve looks more like a piece out of Urwerk's line, but these commercial versions of the on-screen Desert Watch revisit the classic Hamilton Ventura's look.
The famous triangle is used for two models: Ventura Edge Dune and Ventura XXL Bright Dune. Their black PVD-coated steel cases provide the perfect backdrop for the bright sky-blue highlights on their dials. This blue is a nod to the bright blue eyes of the Fremen who inhabit the planet Arrakis.
Their eye color is believed to be a side effect from their spice habit, a necessary substance for interstellar travel. Further nods to the film's Desert Watch can be found in the Ventura XXL Bright Dune model.

When you press the pusher on the left-hand side of the case, blue lines light up which mirror the design of the Desert Watch dial. More echoes of the Desert Watch can be seen in the digital relief elements on the Ventura Edge Dune's dial.
Both models for film buffs are quartz watches housed in large cases: the case for the Ventura Edge Dune measures 51 × 47.2 mm, while the Ventura XXL Bright Dune is 52 × 46.6 mm. Availability of the Ventura XXL Bright Dune is limited to 3000 pieces, and the Ventura Edge Dune is limited to 2000.
