Futuristic novelty in black-and-white palette with a unique "chaotic animation".

HYT, the wizards behind the liquid timekeeping display, are actively conquering new shapes, materials, and complications. HYT got watch fans excited with a closed dial in Geneva, and now ceramic has debuted in the brand's collection.

The premier couldn't be more flamboyant: the HYT Conical Tourbillon Panda is housed in a large 48-mm titanium case coated in ceramic. Titanium and rose-gold versions of this model have already been presented.

The black-and-white "Panda" combination, which once seemed to be strictly reserved for chronographs, is now in the name of the new HYT Conical Tourbillon model, released as a limited edition of eight pieces.

In keeping with the chosen palette, black bellows pump black fluid through a thin capillary, which can be viewed thanks to the transparent caseback. For this watch, the patented fluidic hour indication and central minute hand are joined by the Conical Tourbillon developed by Eric Coudray, and a unique "chaotic animation".

Various inclined details contribute to the volume of the construction: the balance wheel is tilted at a 30-degree angle, the escapement wheel is at 15 degrees, and the anchor is at 23 degrees.

The constant motion is set by the tourbillon, which completes one full clockwise revolution every 30 seconds, along with spherical white agate gemstones measuring 2.5 mm in diameter on the cage's periphery.

The first completes four clockwise turns per minute, a second makes five turns per minute, and a third makes six turns per minute. This "chaotic" complication forms part of the manually wound 701-TC movement.

The complicated caliber comprises 533 components and has a 40-hour power reserve. The architecture of the dial demands a significantly high crystal dome, which is why the HYT Conical Tourbillon Panda measures a serious 25.15 mm in height.

A watch with a case measuring 48 mm in diameter and 52.3 mm in length that hosts a real multi-layered show on its dial can't go unnoticed anyway. The "Panda" model is worn on a white rubber strap with a black titanium buckle.
