The new Petite Heure Minute "Tiger" models by Jaquet Droz once again address the world of animals, where the company's artists find an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The brand is famous for bringing the tradition of Jaquet Droz automata to modern watchmaking, for example, by populating dials with birds with moving elements. This time the image is static, but still very interesting thanks to the highest level of artists in the brand's art workshops.
The Tiger’s fur is painted very carefully – each hair is individually painted, which creates an amazingly realistic effect. To achieve such an effect, artists need to use a binocular magnifier. As a result, the predator's gaze seems alive and focused on the owner of the watch.
The Petite Heure Minute "Tiger" model is released in two limited series of 28 pieces: in a black enamel dial and a white gold case with ivory enamel dial in rose gold. For the first option, was chosen a Royal tiger with blue eyes, for the second - a wild cat with orange and black stripes and green eyes. New models are equipped with self-winding Calibre Jaquet Droz 2653.P with double barrel and silicon balance spring. The diameter of the case is 43 mm.
