Asymmetric, but still well-known silhouette, and the main zodiac symbol of 2025.

Franck Muller, named the ‘Master of Complications’ because of its first works, rightfully can bear and another name, the ‘Master of Tonneau’. Perhaps, only Richard Mille can compete with Franck Muller in popularizing of tonneau-shaped cases.

The current Franck Muller’s assortment includes both rectangular and square cases (a tribute to fashionable geometry), but the barrel remains the company's favorite form for successful experiments even today. The new Silhouette CX Snake with curved tonneau-case proves this to be true.

Launched at the end of 2024, the novelty, dedicated to the Year of the Snake, makes the barrel expand asymmetrically on the sides and represents a new form in the brand’s portfolio. According to a legend, told by company's CEO Nicholas Rudaz in one of his earlier interviews, the tonneau-shaped case, which laid the foundation for the Curvex collection, came about by accident.

Muller received an order for a women's watch and tried to present a refined silhouette of a watch with flowing lines. As it turned out later, the found barrel shape works perfectly and for the men's watches of different sizes.

The Curvex later gave birth to the Vanguard sports case without lugs and the Curvex CX with a sapphire crystal that extends to the strap. And now the Silhouette CX came.

Thanks to the Houses co-founder and master casemaker Vartan Sirmakes, design of the novelty is inspired by fluidity, elegance, and transformation, inherent to the snakes. This exceptional watch marries innovation, artistry, and glamour.

The case with width 30.8 mm and length 44 mm is made of rose gold (quite large, considering that the model will be available only in the Asia-Pacific region, where narrow wrist models are preferred). Gold frames the dial, decorated with a guilloche, characteristic to the brand.

The Arabic numerals, which adjust in size to the shape of the case, are also familiar to the fans. The main innovation and adornment of the dial is the snake tail, made of emeralds, that reminds about the watch's connection with the main symbol of the 2025.
