The phenomenon of resonance is synonymous with the Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens who hung two pendulums on the same wooden beam and discovered they would always begin to swing at the same frequency. Huygens initially described this phenomenon as an odd sympathy between pendulums.

Resonance would later break out of the field of science and enter Baroque music, where ordinary stringed instruments were given auxiliary lower strings known as understrings or sympathetic strings. The bow wouldn't touch the understrings but they'd still sound.

Breguet was also interested in harnessing resonance to increase timekeeping accuracy, who created a number of models with double movements in the early 1800s. In recent years, François-Paul Journe has returned to resonance, and the brand Armin Strom launched its take on the phenomenon of increased amplitude in 2016.

In keeping with their historic namesake Armin Strom, who preferred skeleton watches, the brand revealed a view of the block with two regulating organs right on the dial. Mirrored Force Resonance was reborn last year: the new manually wound caliber ARF21 was given a fresh dial design and became slightly smaller in size.

The two oscillators demonstrating the beauty of resonance are connected by a single patented clutch spring and accompanied by small seconds hands. Once the movement is activated, it takes no more than 10 minutes for the balances to become fully synchronized, and the watch owner can observe this physics experiment on their own wrist.

The same movement used in the Mirrored Force Resonance Manufacture Edition has found a new home in the 2023 version with a green grainy dial.

The company's co-founder Claude Greisler explains that this color with a grenage finish was chosen for harmonization: the textured surface reflects almost no light, contrasting with polished markers and other shiny details.

The watch is presented in a steel case measuring 43 mm × 11.55 mm and paired with a gray Alcantara strap. Availability is limited to 50 pieces.
