In 1985, the Cartier brand introduced an unusual model that inherited the features of an earlier example - the waterproof round watch of 1943.
The collection with the eastern name Pasha de Cartier had several more functions: a square on the dial inscribed in the circle of the case, four Arabic numerals, and a unique screw-down crown attached to it. Thirty-five years have passed, and in April 2020, the Pasha de Cartier series appeared in an updated appearance - modern but still maintaining the same recognizable design features.
The square scale has almost abandoned the traditional form, reminiscent of the railway, and is adjacent to the more significant numbers. Another change - the markers next to the numbers gained additional volume, which added depth to the dial.
Designers sought to make the collection as versatile as possible: the Pasha de Cartier watch is presented in a men's 41-mm case and a female size of 35 mm. The series includes watches in steel, yellow and pink gold, and the mood is comfortable to change thanks to interchangeable straps and the QuickSwitch system.
The Pasha de Cartier models, balancing on the brink of watch and jewelry art, stand out: not only sophisticated women's watches, whose bezels are decorated with diamonds but also a luxurious pave version, decorated with 625 diamonds weighing more than 10 carats (its release is limited to 100 copies). Haute Horlogerie lovers will not be indifferent to the skeletons, complemented by a tourbillon. In the new century, the watch is equipped with up-to-date self-winding manufactory mechanisms: 1847 MC for most people from the 2020 collection, skeletonized 9624 MC, and 9466 MC tourbillon model.
