Romain Gauthier’s novelty pays tribute to watchmaking classics while adhering to the principles of sporty chic.

This is already the fifth version of the titanium model that appeared in the brand's line in 2021 (the series also includes two models in platinum). Back then, the model took many by surprise.

It was very different from the previous pieces by Romain Gauthier, such as the super-complicated Logical One with its fusee-and-chain transmission, or the Insight Micro-Rotor with openworked components and the rotor visible on the dial side.

In the fall of 2021, Romain Gauthier unveiled the brand's first sports watch: Continuum Titanium Edition One. The line would later shorten the name, abbreviating it to the dynamic single-letter "C" by Romain Gauthier.

Light sporty titanium has ceded victory to aristocratic platinum on many occasions, but this is probably the closest Romain Gauthier's C has come to a traditional classic watch. That's the sense you get from the collection's first champagne-tone titanium dial engraved by hand.

The relief texture allows light to play on the surface of the dial, which is an extension of the play of light on the unusdxcfual bezel that characterizes all models in this collection.

The surface of the bezel's top facets have been satin-brushed, while the lateral facets have been polished. The model is dominated by titanium, although the hands along with the lume-filled numerals and indexes are made of white gold.

The off-centered small seconds counter remains indispensable. Tones from the vineyard can also be found on the lines emanating out from the center of this subdial, where a burgundy hue has been chosen. These red lines were also seen on the first Continuum. Another trait the novelty shares with the debut model is the red rubber ring around the winding crown at 2 o'clock.

The case measuring 41 mm × 9,55 mm uses an in-house Romain Gauthier movement which is also made of titanium. Apart from the modern design with parallel bridges, the eye is drawn to other signature elements: the stepped "dimpled" finish on the bridge surfaces, and S-slot screw heads. C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Edition Five is available as a limited series of 38 pieces.
