Zenith continues to build modern identity on El Primero heritage.

The brand has revisited the 1970 prototype again, and the high-frequency movement has finally realized its full potential. The iconic movement was conceived with calendar capabilities from the outset that were subsequently forgotten for decades.

Even in the pursuit of greater accuracy and a higher balance frequency, El Primero's creators didn't forget to include a calendar and a moon-phase display. The situation was only rectified with the arrival of the triple calendar in 2024, which paid tribute to the 25 El Primero prototypes from 1970 that combined the chronograph with a calendar.

The steel Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar debuted in three different dial versions in 2024. Now the time has come for experiments with the case material. The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar for 2025 is presented in a 38-mm case made of rose gold.

The dial comes in a new color too: it's black with counters that match the tone of the case. Like the historic original, the apertures for the day of the week, date, and month are delicately integrated into the general composition and don't visually clutter the dial.

The day of the week and month are displayed above chronograph counters at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. As per tradition, the date can be found between 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock, while the moon-phase display is integrated into the chronograph minute counter at 6 o'clock.

Some changes were inevitably made to the design. The historic tachymeter scale has been replaced by a detailed track to measure elapsed times of one tenth of a second on this chronograph with an accuracy of up to one tenth of a second (the central chronograph hand makes one full rotation every 10 seconds).

Markers and hands are rose gold-plated and coated with SuperLuminova SLN C1 lume. And the movement responsible for timekeeping is an improved version of the same El Primero: the automatic El Primero 3610 runs at a frequency of 36,000 vph with a star-shaped rotor and a 60-hour power reserve.
